Creative process art play at Mayfield Alpaca Farm. Join us for a special Splodge session set in the beautiful surroundings of Mayfield Alpaca Farm, Fulwood. These sessions are designed for young children to explore child-led, process art play in a calm, inspiring outdoor environment—following their own ideas, experimenting freely, and getting wonderfully messy along the way. With the added magic of the farm, children will also have opportunities to see and meet the animals, making this a truly unique creative experience. During the session, children can explore a range of open-ended activity stations, such as:

  • Splatter & large-scale painting using brushes, rollers and natural tools
  • Nature-inspired mark making with leaves, sticks and textures
  • Sensory play with paint, foam, dough and loose parts
  • Creative building & sculpture using natural materials
  • Colour mixing & experimental art encouraging curiosity
  • Collaborative art opportunities alongside others

All activities are process-led, meaning there’s no pressure to create a finished product—just space for children to explore, discover and build confidence through play.

Grown-ups are encouraged to support and enjoy the experience alongside their child, following their lead throughout. And to make your visit even more special…Opportunities to see and meet the alpacas and other animals. A lovely on-site café—perfect for a drink or lunch after your sessionExpect messy hands, big smiles and lots of creative exploration
