Sharrow Youth Club
In our youth work delivery, we run a variety of sessions for young people throughout the week, offering a diverse range of activities aimed at building skills, creativity, and providing a safe space for personal development. These programs include the Open Access Friday Youth Club, Saturday Self-Care Club, and the emerging Sharrow Young Leaders Group, as well as exciting project work. All these initiatives aim to support all local young people, but particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

The club offers a wide range of activities including arts, dance, graffiti, magazine-making, team building, multi-sports activities, and movie nights. Participants have also enjoyed trips to the MOBO Awards, Weston Park Museum, escape room trips, a beach trip, laser-tag, and theatre trips. The sessions always include healthy refreshments such as fruit, with hot meals provided during school holidays.
Self-care Saturday ClubEvery Saturday during term time, the Self-Care Club provides a relaxing environment for young people to focus on their well-being and gives them a chance to chat to youth mentors in a safe space. This year the club has delivered over 30 sessions with an average of 20 participants per session. The club offers activities like friendship bracelet-making, henna, painting tote bags, bath bombmaking, making self-care calendars, and health-focused quizzes.
